It’s been a while but with this being one of my favorite postings from a writing standpoint, I will be sure to work my hardest to remain consistent with these.
With all of that being said, I bring back my Flashback Fridays.
Today’s flashback will focus on a shoe that was never worn by MJ himself, in game or off court: the Indiglo 14. This shoe was originally released in 1999 and retroed in 2015 in it’s OG form. Though they have not been as popular as some Jordan 14 models such as the “Last Shots” or “Black Toes”, they were worn by several Jordan Brand athletes such as Mike Bibby, Ray Allen & Reggie Miller back in ’99.
Growing up, I never really cared for the Jordan 14 shoe model at all but as I got older, they grew more on me. The same can also be said about most Jordans I now have in my collection though.
One of the reasons I felt this shoe had to make it’s way into my rotation is the simplicity of the colorway while at the same time, having a whole different identity for a Jordan since Indiglo was a never before seen color on a shoe. My pair can be seen below and of course if I talked on ’em today, I walked in em today.
