The Air Jordan sneaker line has always been deeply involved with the idea of flight, taking inspiration from the high flying dunks of Michael Jordan. And one of the main models of the Air Jordan sneaker line entirely inspired by flight is the Air Jordan 5, from the midsole’s shark-tooth design to the 3M reflective tongue. The Air Jordan 5 became an instant icon on and off the court and this fall, they’ll be releasing in 5 different colorways to honor the spirit of flight.
Not only will Jordan Brand be releasing these sneakers. They’ll also be returning the infamous flight suits, made famous by MJ in his rookie season. These flight suits are mostly remembered for being worn by MJ in the photoshoots for the Bred & Royal Air Jordan 1. This is where the inspiration for the blue and the red “Flight Suit” Air Jordan 5s.
