Back in 2012, Nike introduced a new technology to the world of sneakers with Flyknit, a material that both makes shoes lighter and cuts down on wasted materials. One of the first shoes to receive this material was the Nike Flyknit Trainer. The Nike Flyknit Trainer has been seen on the feet of several celebrities from the 2012 USA Olympic Basketball team to even Kanye West, seen below.
A few weeks ago during the NBA Finals, Kevin Durant was seen in the “Cookies & Cream” colorway of the shoe, which led to speculation of a comeback of the popular trainer, seen below. And now, we have release details on exactly when the public will be able to get their hands on a pair.
Look for the “Cookies & Cream” Nike Flyknit Trainer to be at select Nike retailers on August 24th.
Though I still have my Volt pair of these, I missed on this colorway so I’ll definitely be looking to get mine next week.
